Milkshake Extremities

Image
Battle the heat of Virginia Beach with this unique ice cream spot! The Yard’s signature milkshakes are not just any ordinary milkshake, instead, they are quite extreme. There are over 20 milkshake themes to choose from, which each include an ice cream flavor with numerous complimentary themed toppings, served in a custom pint glass. To extend this ice cream fun, the custom pint glasses are included in the purchase of any milkshake. In addition to milkshakes, the Yard has plenty of other scrumptious treats to please your sweet tooth such as numerous flavors of edible cookie dough, ice cream floats, cookie dough pops, and regular ice cream cups and cones. With a large menu offering, there’s something for every sweet tooth whether that’s chocolate or sugary candy themed ice cream. My personal favorite is The Unicorn, which consists of cotton candy ice cream, purple marshmallow drizzle, rainbow sprinkles, and topped with a sugar cone unicorn horn, rainbow whipped cream, cotton candy clouds...

The Charming Cottage Cafe

This quaint cottage restaurant is located in the heart of farm country, providing the freshest selection of local meals to guests. Breakfast and lunch are served all day with many scrumptious options for the entire family. To highlight a few from of this immaculate variety are their home-made biscuits, sandwiches, salads, omelets, and seasonal specials. To accompany these mouthwatering dishes, an array of refreshments is available to begin the day including custom coffees, hand-crafted Bloody Mary’s, and mimosas. Despite the no reservation policy that is implemented at this popular brunch destination, there is a garden patio that provides a beautiful scenery for any wait time. The cottage is decorated to compliment the quaint location with simple flowers, light yellow accents, and bright interior touches. The overall atmosphere of this location is truly what sets it apart and makes the Bee & Biscuit one of my favorite restaurants in the area. This restaurant takes you away from the...

Thousands of exhibits showcase the finest aquatic species across the globe such as barracudas, Komodo Dragons, zebra sharks, and more! What sets Virginia Beach’s Aquarium apart is the hands-on interactive exhibits that are offered. These exhibits allow guests to directly interact with the wildlife and learn about the wonders of the ocean first-hand. They also provide behind-the-scenes tours to reveal what truly goes on in the nonpublic areas of the aquarium. These tours allow guests to encounter the animals on a much closer and more personal level. They provide numerous different behind the scenes tours that are specialized to type of animal, allowing guests to choose which area of the aquarium they want a deeper dive into. Adrenaline-filled Adventure Awaits

Image
Thrilling fun awaits in the trees of Virginia Beach! This adventure park offers the best courses that are jam packed with ziplines, tree climbing, and other rope filled fun! This park is perfect for all ages above 5, all fitness levels, and all experience levels. With 17 trails to choose from, each trail is color-coded by difficulty, allowing each guest to participate at their own comfort level. Before partaking in the fun, brief safety lessons and practice courses are required to allow guests to familiarize themselves with the park equipment. The double lock safety equipment provided at this course always ensures direct attachment to a secure source throughout the course. Being extremely fearful of heights myself, these precautions eased my mind throughout my time in the trees! This park is my go-to since it offers many different courses and limits the number of people in the trees at a time, ensuring availability of trails. The fun doesn’t stop there though! This adventur...

While Virginia Beach is home to many fun festivities, it is also home to many important historical landmarks. One of these being the Cape Henry Lighthouse. Located on the north end of Virginia Beach’s coast, this lighthouse was the 4 th oldest lighthouse in the country and authorized by George Washington! It is marked as a historical landmark as it protected and guided the vessels leaving and entering the Chesapeake Bay. In order to take in the entirety that Cape Henry offers its guests, tours are available and fairly cheap at only $10. The lantern room, located at the top of the lighthouse, features 360° views of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic. The view of the coast is truly remarkable from the isolated height of this lighthouse. With 400 years of history and a spectacular view, the Cape Henry Lighthouse is not something you will want to skip out on while in Virginia Beach! Plan Your Visit Today
