Walking on Sunshine

     The Virginia Beach Boardwalk is perhaps one of the most popular attractions in the city. Located right along the Oceanfront, this boardwalk extends three miles from 2 nd street to 40 th street. The pathway is about twenty-eight feet wide and consists of a walking path and a separate path for biking and rollerblading. Along the boardwalk there is an immense variety of outdoor restaurants and local shops as well as a few entertainment stages. Located on 7 th , 17 th , 24 th , and 31 st streets, these stages provide live musical entertainment every night during the summer months! In addition to the fun entertainment options offered, there are many quaint seating areas located along the path. One of my favorite hobbies while at the Boardwalk is to “people watch” while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Oceanfront. Fitness Fun on the Beach

     Travel over to the Virginia Beach shoreline to take part in some fitness fun! Hillier Ignite Fitness Park perfectly combines fitness, the beach, and fun. This park consists of beams, ropes, rings, bars, and obstacle equipment to target strength training in a fun and exciting way!  There are varying types of each amenity to ensure fun for the entire beach crowd. There are high and low bars, parallel bars, swing-along-rings, climbing ropes, level ring climbers, slackline posts, and balance beams! This park truly knows how to transform working out into a fun and exciting task. It’s the cherry on top that is it located right on the beach! This is perfect for families that get bored on the beach or simply just need some excitement! It’s always such a hassle to keep the younger ones entertained! This combination of fitness and the beach is truly fun for all ages!
